Tampa, FL – August 22, 2023 – Trellance, a leading technology partner providing innovative analytics, cloud and talent solutions to credit unions, along with the Filene Research Institute, has completed all of the necessary steps to make the Credit Union Data Exchange (CUDX) a limited cooperative association. Additionally, the CUDX governance board has been created and all positions filled:
- Chair: April Clobes, President & CEO of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union
- Vice Chair: Barry Shaner, President & CEO of Directions Credit Union
- Secretary/Treasurer: Kevin Johnson, President & CEO of Suncoast Credit Union
- Board Member: Tyrone Muse, President & CEO of Visions Federal Credit Union
- Board Member: Amy Sink, CEO of Interra Credit Union
- Board Member: Tonita Webb, President & CEO of Verity Credit Union
- Board Member: Mark Zook, President & CEO of MAPS Credit Union
- Acting CUDX CEO: Tom Davis, President & CEO of Trellance

The response to the initial call for credit unions to become a part of CUDX was encouraging, with many signing on, and many more still expressing interest. CUDX fully expects to meet their goal of signing 100 credit unions by the end of the year. “We’re pleased to see that the credit union industry is seeing as much value in this forward-thinking initiative as we do,” said April Clobes, Chair of the CUDX Governing Board and President & CEO of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union. “We have a few more openings to fill, but so far the response from credit unions is that they are excited about this opportunity.”
“The whole credit union movement is driven by the sort of collaboration and cooperation that you’re not going to see in any other industry,” said Adam Wright, Managing Director of CUDX Operations. “By participating in CUDX, credit unions are accelerating the value of data not only for themselves but for the entire community.”
Space remains available in each of the three member classes, Founding Member, Investor Member and Member. Additionally, seats are still available on the three councils that will guide how CUDX moves forward: Research & Innovation Council, Data Privacy, Risk & Compliance Council and Data Governance Council.
